These terms cover your use of the Rounds app. They are intentionally short and written in plain English.
The short version
The app is free. Use it however you want. It comes with no guarantees. Don't sue me if you hurt yourself working out. Be nice.
The app is provided as-is
Rounds is provided "as-is," without warranty of any kind. I do my best to make it work well, but I can't promise it will be bug-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.
Fitness disclaimer
Rounds is a timer. It is not a fitness coach, medical device, or training program. Consult a physician before starting any new exercise routine. If something hurts, stop. You are responsible for your own safety while working out.
Acceptable use
You can use the app for personal workouts, group workouts, at the gym, at home — wherever. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to extract the app's source code (it's open source anyway — just go look at the repo).
- Use the app to break the law or harm other people.
Donations
The app has an optional "tip jar" that links out to Buy Me a Coffee. Donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and do not unlock any features. The app has no paywall and no subscription.
Intellectual property
The Rounds name, logo, and app design are the author's. The source code is published on GitHub under whatever license is specified in that repository.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app — including lost data, lost gains, lost motivation, or physical injury sustained during a workout.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. If they change materially, the new version will be posted here and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
